Daisy waits while Hamburg delights. Then on to Lübeck
It was very good to pause in Hamburg, to see the city writ both large/real and small/model in Wunderland, to cruise the container port and to hear the fabulous Tallis Scholars live in the stunning, overwhelming, brilliant Elbe Philharmonic.
Let the following, however, just be an excuse for some hopefully inspiring photographs, with our impresive new Sony RX100vii. We’ll let the captions speak for themselves.
Our journey today, and yes, 70 km it is, again…The Elbe Philharmonic. Three times over budget at 800 million Euros, but inspiring. Rather fun curving escalator to enter the building.Stunning acoustics, but no photography during the perfomance, Hence a stage empty of the Tallis Scholars, who excelled.Hamburg harbour from the Elbe PhilharmonicThe harbourStrange perspectives in the interiorElbe Philharmonic in miniature at the Wunderland world of models, VERY well worth the stay and the visit.Yup, these are the dimensions. Here at Wunderland, Concorde still flies, as does the USS Enterprise, from Sar Trek (I think). This one’s for real.
