On a day where Russia has blown the Kachovka dam on the Dniepr river – a war crime visible from space – it seems somewhat flip to be posting pictures of our peregrination around Germany, as of yesterday exactly half way through our planned 12 weeks on the road.
But life goes on, as do we, and today I’m just going to include some representative images of our journey these last three days from Potsdam through Magdeburg on the Elbe to Quedlinburg at the threshold of the Harz mountains.
The pictures will speak for themselves, with the challenge to notice the difference between those taken in the summer of 1978 when we first travelled these roads on Daisy 1 from our home base then in East Berlin with Reuters.
We weren’t even 30, for heaven’s sake, how cute.

Really enjoying following your travels!
Thanks Judith. Good to know our musings and photos are of interest.
