I doubt that many folk will read this, but can’t resist posting a couple of photos from the Grand Union Canal at the weekend, where Sue and I have just taken our new narrowboat-for-hire, the Molly May, out for her maiden voyage.
Unlike the bulbous father-and-son crew on the right, she cuts a lovely figure, is a lovely boat, and is already available already for hire via Kate Boats in Warwick.
Reason enough to celebrate with a glass of bubbly…

Ah yes, Victoria, but those first pictures, including of the canal bum (thankfully not mine, or Sue’s) and the bubbly predated the Guinness experience. Which thankfully hasn’t entirely cured me of alcohol, but certainly in anything more than homeopathic quantities!
